"Nouveau Fresco"

Paintings (works painted in a realistic style in acrylics on a plaster ground).

We begin by using high quality plaster to create a ground for the painting. The plaster is worked into a course material to give the work stability and strength. We antique the piece and prepare the ground using acrylic paints. We then use classical and traditional techniques of drawing, painting, and glazing on the ground to produce the finished work of art. The finished painting is then mounted on a rigid substrate and sealed with shellac for maximum strength and permanence.
