Technique
Acrylic Paintings
The ground is
prepared with
plaster on a fabric.
Using a Faux
Finishing Technique
the plaster ground
is cracked and
antiqued giving the
look
of an old master
painting or fresco
wall painting.
The ground is
mounted on a rigid Gatorfoam
backing panel.
The drawing
being completed the
painting is
done using
traditional methods.
Acrylic paint is applied
in thin glazes and
blended to match
life.
The finished work is
sealed with a
protective coating
of shelac.
